Canyon Ferry: Anglers are picking up a few rainbows trolling Rapala’s in 10-15 feet of water throughout the South end along Pond’s 1-4. Walleye fishing has slowed, but a few are being caught mid-reservoir at Goose Bay and Snaggy Bay trolling bottom bouncers tipped with worms in 10-20 feet of water. Additionally, some walleye are being caught on the South end near the mouth of the river trolling cranks. Perch are also being caught mid-reservoir near White Earth and Goose Bay using bottom bouncers tipped with worms in 10-25 feet of water. Adam Strainer, FWP, Helena

Hauser: Rainbow fishing is good between White Sandy and York Bridge while trolling crank-baits in 10 to 15 feet of water. A few rainbows are being caught at the Causeway Bridge from shore on night crawlers or marshmallows. Walleye fishing has slowed with a few being caught in the Causeway on jigs in 12 to 16 feet of water. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Holter: Rainbow fishing is very good while trolling perch colored crank-baits or cowbells in 10 to 15 feet of water between Split Rock and the Dam. Rainbows are being caught from shore at Departure Point on worms. A few kokanee are being caught around the Holter Lake Campground on flashy red and white spoons. Walleye fishing has slowed down considerably. Holter Lake ramp continues to be closed for repairs. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Helena Valley Regulating Reservoir: The snagging season for Kokanee Salmon opened on September 1st and will run through October 31st. Limits are 35 salmon daily with 70 in possession. Action continues to be slow. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
